Hongkong is a Land of Hunger

Hongkong under the Japanese is turning into a land of hunger, it is reported in Chungking, says Reuter.

Scores of the inhabitants are dying of starvation daily

According to the latest informa- tion, the Japanese have decided to carry out a compulsory evadation of 400.000 more Chinese.

This has resulted in a huge exodus of refugees travelling along the Canton-Kowloon railway, many of whom have died on the way from hunger and exposure.
